About the Role:

We are seeking a diligent and proactive Accounts Assistant/Administrator to join our growing finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with a strong foundation in accounting studies who is eager to apply their knowledge in a practical setting. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and accurate flow of financial data while supporting our team with day-to-day administrative and accounting tasks. This position begins as a part-time role with a clear pathway to full-time for a hard-working individual who demonstrates passion for finance and a commitment to excellence. We are a dynamic and fast-growing hospitality group operating a portfolio of restaurant and takeaway brands across London.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Data Entry and Management:

Accurately input and maintain financial transactions in our accounting software and spreadsheets, including invoices, receipts, and payments.

Accounts Payable and Receivable:

Assist with managing accounts payable (paying suppliers on time) and accounts receivable (invoicing customers and following up on outstanding payments).

Reconciliation:

Help reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.

Reporting and Analysis:

Assist in preparing financial reports, using Microsoft Excel to organize and analyse data.

Administrative Support:

Provide general administrative support to the finance department, including f iling, managing financial documentation, and handling queries from internal and external stakeholders.

Backlog Management:

Take a proactive role in clearing and organizing any existing backlog of financial records or administrative tasks.

Compliance:

Support the team in ensuring all financial processes comply with company policies and relevant regulations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:



Currently studying or recently completed a degree/course in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. o Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, data organization, spreadsheet management). o High level of accuracy and strong attention to detail. o Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies quickly and efficiently. o Excellent time management and organizational skills. o A strong work ethic with initiative and eagerness to learn. o Strong verbal and written communication skills

Potential for Full-Time:

This part-time role is designed to be a stepping stone to a full-time position. As you gain experience and demonstrate your value to the team, you may take on more complex responsibilities, including: o Ownership of key financial accounts. o Assisting with month-end and year-end closing procedures. o Involvement in advanced financial analysis and forecasting.
