About the Role:



We are looking for a reliable and organised

Administrative Assistant

to join our busy plumbing and electrical team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the office with day-to-day administration, preparing and typing compliance certificates, and ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date.

This role would suit someone with previous administrative experience, excellent attention to detail, and strong communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:



Type, prepare, and issue compliance certificates for plumbing and electrical work (e.g. Gas Safe, Part P, EICR, etc.) Manage and maintain accurate records of completed jobs, certificates, and customer files. Communicate with engineers to gather necessary job information and ensure certificates are completed promptly. Handle incoming phone calls and emails, responding to customer and supplier enquiries professionally. Schedule appointments and manage the company diary for engineers and inspections. Process invoices, quotes, and purchase orders where required. Maintain organised filing systems (both digital and paper-based) Ensure all compliance paperwork meets industry standards and deadlines. Assist management with general office duties and administrative support.

Requirements:



Previous administrative experience (preferably within a trade, construction, plumbing, or electrical environment) Strong typing and data entry skills with excellent attention to detail Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and confident using online portals. Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines in a busy environment. Friendly, professional, and approachable manner Reliable and self-motivated with good time management skills
