Behaviour Mentor

This Behaviour Mentor role offers a meaningful opportunity to support students who struggle with emotional regulation, social interaction or behavioural challenges. Starting in September within an inclusive school setting, you'll provide calm, consistent guidance to help young people re-engage with learning and grow in confidence.
As a Behaviour Mentor, you'll:
Work closely with students on a 1:1 or small-group basis
Use restorative strategies to de-escalate conflict and support emotional regulation
Build strong relationships that foster trust, respect and resilience
Help pupils re-integrate into lessons and stay on track with their education
Support the wider school team with behaviour management strategies and wellbeing plans
No two days will be the same, but every day will matter.
This role is ideal for individuals with experience in:
Youth work, mental health support, pastoral care or behaviour intervention
Supporting pupils with SEMH, autism or additional needs
Managing challenging behaviour with a calm, empathetic approach
Building rapport and offering consistent, non-judgemental support
You'll need emotional resilience, strong communication skills and a belief that all pupils can succeed with the right support.
