Objective:


To provide strategic legal guidance and lead legal operations in the EMEA region, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations and protecting the company's interests. This role is essential for mitigating legal risks, supporting business initiatives, and promoting corporate governance.

Main Responsibilities/Activities:


Provide expert legal counsel on a variety of issues including commercial contracts, intellectual property, labour law, mergers and acquisitions, and regulatory compliance.
Manage and oversee the legal team in the EMEA region, ensuring high quality and efficiency in legal operations.
Develop and implement legal policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Represent the company in negotiations, litigation, and other legal matters, working with external law firms as needed.
Collaborate with business leaders to identify and mitigate legal risks, offering practical and strategic solutions.
Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations that may affect the company and advise on the implications of these changes.
Prepare and review legal documents, contracts, and other legal instruments to protect the company's interests.
Promote a culture of governance and compliance within the organisation, conducting legal training and guidance for employees.

Must Haves:


5 Years + Experience as a generalist lawyer in the UK/UK focus.
Experienced within multiple areas of legal, including: Employment, Mergers & Acquisitions, Commercial Contracts, Intellectual Property & Regulatory Compliance.
Experienced developing legal strategies and executing them across multiple geographies.
Previous experience managing C-level stakeholders and advising on scenarios along with consequences and risk.

Previous work within a technical consultancy
