We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Job-Share Deputy Manager to join our team in a vibrant nursery setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for working within the early years. This role involves supporting the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day operations of the nursery, ensuring a safe, nurturing environment for children, and fostering positive relationships with staff, parents, and children.
Duties
Assist the Nursery Manager in overseeing daily operations and maintaining high standards of care and education.
Lead and motivate staff to create an engaging and supportive environment for children.
Work directly with children of all ages, modelling exemplary practice to others.
Communicate effectively with parents regarding their children's progress and wellbeing.
Disseminate and implement initiatives that promote early childhood education best practices within the nursery.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and safeguarding policies.
Maintain a clean, safe, and stimulating environment for all children.
Requirements
Be able to work on a "full year" basis with 5.6 weeks paid annual leave allowance.
Be able to work for four full days for at least 10.25 hours per day and 41-42 hours per week.
2 years' experience in a childcare setting following the achievement of a level 3 early Years Educator or equivalent qualification.
English and Maths GCSEs (grades A-C or 4-9).
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a team.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Experience working with children across 0-4 years age-range.
Ability to drive initiatives that enhance the quality of early years and childcare and education.
A genuine passion for nurturing children's development and wellbeing.
