We are looking for a qualified and experienced joiner /
Multi Trade operative
to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, and repair work across a portfolio of buildings, ensuring all works undertaken are done so within H&S regulations and requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across multiple trades, including carpentry, plumbing, plastering, painting, tiling, and basic electrical work.
Assist with small installation and refurbishment projects.
Carry out routine maintenance and inspections to ensure building systems are safe and compliant.
Support day-to-day building operations and ensure compliance with Health & Safety standards.
Deliver first-time fixes wherever possible to maintain service excellence.
Participate in on-call rotas and respond to out-of-hours maintenance emergencies when required.
Respond to emergency call-outs and complete repairs promptly.
Follow company health and safety policies and promote safe working practices.
Qualifications and Experience:
Essential:
Proven experience in joinery work within a PPM and reactive repairs environment.
Strong background in facilities, building maintenance, or repairs.
Knowledge of safe working practices and building regulations.
Customer-focused, professional, and reliable.
Full UK Driving Licence (mobile role).
Desirable:
NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent in a relevant trade.
CSCS card, Asbestos Awareness, or other H&S training.
Skills and Attributes:
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Commitment to delivering high standards of service and safety.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
Working Conditions:
40 hours per week (Monday to Friday) with potential overtime and call-out rota.
Work may involve travel between multiple sites.
PPE and tools provided.
