As a Joiner and Dry Liner at Sticky Baits, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality carpentry and internal finishing work across our factory and office facilities. This includes manufacturing, installing, and maintaining wooden structures, fixtures, and fittings, as well as preparing and installing dry lining, partitions, and ceilings to meet operational and aesthetic standards.
You will play a hands-on role in supporting site projects, maintenance, and refurbishments, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and to a high standard. The role requires a practical, detail-oriented approach, combined with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to coordinate with other departments to minimise disruption to production and office operations.
Roles and Responsibilities
Joinery & Carpentry
Manufacture, assemble, and install wooden structures, furniture, and fixtures.
Repair, maintain, and refurbish existing joinery within the factory and office areas.
Work from technical drawings, plans, and specifications to ensure precise and accurate installations.
Dry Lining & Partitioning
Install internal partitions, ceilings, and wall linings using plasterboard and other dry lining materials.
Ensure surfaces are prepared and finished to a high standard, ready for painting or decorating.
Collaborate with other trades to coordinate installation and avoid workflow disruption.
Site Maintenance & Improvement
Carry out ongoing maintenance tasks related to joinery and internal finishes.
Identify and report structural or safety issues requiring attention.
Contribute to site improvement projects, ensuring functionality and compliance with safety regulations.
Project Planning & Execution
Plan work activities in line with project schedules and operational needs.
Estimate materials and resources required for tasks and coordinate with procurement if needed.
Adapt to changing priorities and provide practical solutions to on-site challenges.
Health, Safety & Compliance
Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Maintain a clean, organised, and hazard-free workspace.
Follow company procedures for tools, equipment, and materials handling.
Quality Assurance & Reporting
Maintain high standards of workmanship and attention to detail in all tasks.
Report progress, issues, and completion of projects to the Site Manager or Operations Manager.
Contribute to continuous improvement by suggesting process or material enhancements.
Team Collaboration & Communication
Work alongside other site staff, contractors, and departments to ensure minimal disruption to daily operations.
Support apprentices or junior staff when required, offering guidance on techniques and standards.
Maintain open communication with management and colleagues regarding project timelines and priorities.
