Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Joiner to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience in carpentry and joinery, with a strong focus on fabrication and assembly. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, including roofing, masonry, plumbing, electrical installations, and construction painting. The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering high-quality craftsmanship in a safe and efficient manner, contributing to the successful completion of various building projects.

Responsibilities

Fabricate and assemble bespoke wooden structures and components using hand tools and power tools Install joinery elements such as doors, windows, staircases, and cabinetry with precision Assist in roofing tasks, ensuring proper fitting and sealing of materials Perform heavy lifting of materials safely to support construction activities Contribute to masonry work by installing brickwork or stone features as required Carry out plumbing tasks including pipe fitting and fixture installation where necessary Support electrical work by preparing conduit runs or assisting licensed electricians Conduct construction painting to prepare surfaces for finishing touches Maintain a clean and organised work environment to adhere to health and safety standards

Skills

Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, carpentry, and joinery techniques Proficiency with hand tools such as saws, chisels, hammers, and screwdrivers Competence in operating power tools including drills, sanders, and saws Knowledge of roofing installation methods and masonry work Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during project tasks Basic plumbing skills for pipe fitting and fixture installation Electrical experience is advantageous for assisting with electrical installations Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of workmanship Good communication skills to collaborate effectively within a team environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 16.57-25.11 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 60 per week
