Overview

We are seeking a skilled joiner to assist with a house renovation and extension.

The work will include studwork and second fix joinery, and also assistance with dry-lining, internal first fix services, etc, working under direction.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in carpentry and joinery to contribute to diverse aspects of the project, including plumbing, and electrical installations. The successful applicant will demonstrate proficiency with hand tools and power tools, ensuring high standards of craftsmanship and safety on site.

Responsibilities

Install joinery elements such as doors, windows, cabinetry, and other fixtures Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment safely and effectively Assist with roofing, masonry, plumbing, electrical work, and construction painting as required Perform heavy lifting of materials and components safely in line with health and safety regulations Read technical drawings and blueprints to ensure precise execution of projects Collaborate with team members to complete projects within designated timeframes Maintain a clean and organised work environment at all times

Requirements

Must be reliability and trustworthy Proven experience in fabrication, carpentry, and joinery Proficiency with hand tools and power tools Knowledge of roofing, masonry, plumbing is desirable Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently Strong understanding of health and safety procedures on construction sites Good organisational skills with attention to detail Relevant qualifications or apprenticeships in carpentry or joinery are advantageous but not essential Physical fitness suitable for manual labour tasks in various weather conditions

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: 160.00-190.00 per day

Expected hours: 15 - 35 per week
