Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Window Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of windows in residential and commercial properties. This role requires a strong understanding of joinery and carpentry, as well as the ability to work with various hand and power tools. The successful applicant will demonstrate a commitment to quality workmanship and safety standards.

Duties

Install, repair, and replace windows in accordance with specifications and safety regulations. Assemble window frames and fittings using hand tools and power tools. Ensure that all installations are plumb, level, and secure. Fabricate custom window solutions as required by specific project needs. Perform heavy lifting as necessary during the installation process. Conduct painting and finishing work on installed windows to ensure aesthetic appeal. Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure seamless project completion. Maintain a clean and organised work environment at all times.

Requirements

Proven experience in joinery or carpentry is essential. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Ability to perform heavy lifting as part of daily duties. Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Knowledge of building regulations and safety standards related to window fitting is desirable. Previous experience in roofing or related fields is an advantage but not mandatory.
