We are looking for someone to #JoinUs as a Legal Postgraduate in our Joint Legal Services Department. Could you be who we are looking for?



The Joint Legal Service supports both South Wales and Gwent Police in the delivery of their legal services functions including litigation, operational policing, employment, commercial contracts, public procurement and commercial property. We are looking for someone with the skills, experience and enthusiasm to undertake this new role and make positive changes for our communities.



About the role and your key responsibilities:





To support the Joint Legal Services team by undertaking research and other support and ancillary services.

To receive and respond to enquiries from clients, including complex queries related to our areas of work To engage with the stakeholders, including members of the public, in relevant matters To plan and organise own work and/or contribute to departmental matters and objectives To undertake research, and to provide advice and guidance with well evidenced recommendations and conclusions To identify potential areas for improvements To provide representation at relevant events

Qualification Criteria

To be eligible you must possess a degree at 2:1 or higher as a Law Graduate (LLB) and have graduated within the last 3 years of 14th September 2026.
