National Legal Service is one of the UK's fastest growing legal aid law firms in the UK specialising in Family and Care law. We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Family Paralegal who has completed their LPC to join our amazing organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support by taking initial instructions from clients and assessing the merits of your client's cases calculating their eligibility for legal aid, providing legal support to the Supervisor, including drafting documents, conducting legal research and managing case files.

The Role

Processing funding applications & completing legal aid applications Taking witness statements and drafting documents for court Instruct counsel, agents and experts when required Ensure all court orders are read and actioned accordingly Ensure all files are submitted for billing Any other ad hoc duties as required

Person Specification

Bachelor's Degree in Law Completed LPC Exposure of working as a Paralegal in Family Domestic Abuse / Domestic Violence Strong communication skills both written and verbal Self-motivated, clear thinking and able to carry out case work accurately Proactive approach with the ability to work independently

Pay: 23,000.00-24,500.00 per year
