Are you a talented and inquisitive journalist with a passion for storytelling and a keen eye for detail? We're looking for a proactive Part-Time Journalist to join our team for 20 hours a week, helping us craft compelling content and stay ahead of industry trends.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a journalist to make a real impact on our content strategy. You'll be instrumental in researching, writing, and curating engaging material across various platforms, including:

Market Research:

Conducting thorough research to identify emerging trends, competitor activities, and audience interests within our niche. This research will directly inform our content creation and social media strategy.

Feature Writing:

Creating insightful and engaging written content about new features and developments from our company.

Global Niche News:

Researching and writing about the latest global news and developments relevant to our specific industry/niche.

General Latest Stories:

Covering broader current events and stories that resonate with our audience and align with our brand values.

Content for Blogs & Email:

Adapting research and written content for engaging blog posts and compelling email newsletters.

Social Media Strategy:

Utilising market research findings to develop and inform our social media content strategy, ensuring our messaging is timely, relevant, and impactful.

Flexible Working:

We understand the importance of work-life balance. We offer flexible working hours, ideally structured as either:

4 hours per day, 5 days a week 5 hours per day, 4 days a week

What We're Looking For:

Proven experience in journalism, content writing, or a similar role, with a portfolio of published work. Exceptional research skills, with the ability to gather and synthesize information from various sources. Strong writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for grammar, punctuation, and style. Ability to translate complex information into clear, concise, and engaging content. An understanding of current affairs, global news, and a genuine interest in our company's niche. Familiarity with content management systems and email marketing platforms is a plus. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Self-motivated, organised, and able to manage multiple deadlines effectively.
