Job Description

What you'll be doing?




Supporting the business and our divisional offices, our Head Office functions cover all departments from our Executive Board through to our support functions such as Group Design and Technical, HR, Health and Safety, IT, Sales and Marketing, Commercial, Procurement, Group Finance, Corporate Affairs, as well as Legal and Company Secretariat. We also have a specialised function - Barratt Partnerships.

While the work varies from team to team, our key requirements don't: you must be well organised, extremely helpful and resourceful, and able to use your initiative. You'll understand that what you do is important, and impacts on your team, the department, and the wider business.

Reporting to the Brand and Content Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the development of content that supports all customer journeys and SEO requirements, ensuring alignment with the Brand and Content strategy. This is a key role to supports broader journey and campaign requirements, ensuring content is strategically aligned, optimised, and enhances the customer experience across all touchpoints.

You will be expected to:



Leadership, Management, and Strategy



+ Develop and execute a content strategy that supports SEO and customer journey objectives across all channels. + Lead on strategies to test and optimise right message to right person and the right time
+ Work with the Content Executive to maintain and update the content calendar in alignment with campaign and brand priorities.
+ Monitor the distribution of content by divisions, actively driving initiatives to ensure best practices and adherence to content guidelines.
+ Drive best practice marketing processes in relation to content across divisions, identifying opportunities to improve current practices, running training sessions, and presenting at knowledge share sessions.
+ Maintain strong relationships with creative agencies and partners to enable effective collaboration and content creation. Regularly align with colleagues across marketing to share priorities and drive strategic alignment across media, brand, communications, content, and creative to ensure cohesive omnichannel journeys.
+ Keep informed on SEO, content marketing, and customer journey trends.
Content Management and Execution



+ Create and oversee content to support ongoing journeys, ensuring assets are optimised for SEO, in collaboration with creative agencies and external partners. + Works closely with omnichannel team to identify optimal messaging for different audience personas to drive the content briefing process
+ Manage third parties to develop content in line with the content strategy, managing ongoing communication, the briefing and review process, content reviews, updates, and amendments.
+ Lead on testing how to optimise content for LLM's or AI agents in the future that might be influencing discovery journeys to optimise content for SEO
+ Conduct regular content audits across channels to ensure accuracy and brand consistency.
+ Raise purchase orders and invoices, ensuring all creative costs are correctly logged in Group systems.
+ Maintain and manage all content on the Brand Portal/TAG system, ensuring content is uploaded and correctly tagged to enable efficient reuse.
Reporting, Analytics and Optimisation



+ Monitor content performance across channels and provide insights to inform future content development. + Support the Brand and Content Manager in identifying opportunities for content optimisation based on testing and performance data.
+ Track delivery against content KPIs and benchmarks, contributing to regular reporting and analysis.

What you'll need?




To be successful in the role, we are looking for:
Experience managing third party creative agencies to deliver high quality branded assets and content. Strong understanding of paid and owned content across channels including CRM and SEO principles and best practices. Strong understanding of SEO principles and best practices. Previous experience working with Microsoft Dynamics to execute CRM campaigns. Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to quickly build relationships, negotiate, and influence. Proactive and highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Strong attention to detail, ensuring brand positioning and alignment remains constant. Demonstrates a customer-centric mindset, with the ability to develop experiences that resonate with the customer. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
