Job Description


Are you ready to join a dynamic team in the insurance industry? My client is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Junior Account Handler to provide exceptional support to their Account Executives (Broker and Direct) in their Belfast office. As an integral part of their team, you will play a crucial role in assessing and preparing client information for the Underwriting stage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately load client information onto their insurance software system and ensure correct data entry
  • Review risks and upload all necessary information, including property details, project documents, and site plans
  • Create comprehensive property trees for each risk
  • Liaise with Broker agents to gather additional information as needed
  • Conduct credit checks and record relevant details
  • Maintain detailed notes and documentation in the system
  • Provide excellent customer service by answering client calls and occasionally following up via phone and email to obtain required information
  • Collaborate effectively with Account Executives and broker agents to ensure smooth preparation of risks for underwriting
  • Handle any other duties as assigned
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs grade C or above, including English and Maths, or equivalent NVQ
  • Experience working with confidential and sensitive data
  • Previous experience in a busy office environment
  • Strong customer focus and excellent communication skills, particularly via email
  • Proficiency in IT systems and software
  • Ability to work well within a team and pay meticulous attention to detail
  • Experience in the insurance industry is desirable but not mandatory
