We are looking for a Junior Product Specialist / Product Owner to support the Product Manager to ensure that all product related developments and product changes are agreed with Direct Life and the insurers and delivered within agreed timeframes. To provide the IT Development team with clear and concise requirements for all business led development work to ensure they are delivered within agreed timeframes.


Working as a Product Owner you will receive;

  • Salary of \xc2\xa323,000 - \xc2\xa326,000

In the role of a Product Owner, you will;
  • Build relationships with and liaise with insurers, 3rd parties, relationship managers and colleagues to ensure the successful implementation of new product launches, processes or working practices to meet business objectives.
  • Provide a liaison point between the insurers and Direct Life for technical developments, product changes and ad hoc information.
  • Work with all departments to manage change requests to improve internal processes.
  • Assist in the implementation of any new ideas, measuring the success and reviewing performance to identify further enhancements.
  • Identify improvements to, and make suggestions for, improving processes for customers and the business.
  • To conform to regulatory and cultural guidelines as set by management e.g. Treating Customers fairly (TCF), Consumer Duty, Data protection, Health and Safety and EEC, Quality and Service Excellence, Financial Crime, Money Laundering and Complaint handling.
  • Show flexibility and carry out any other reasonable duties set by the line manager as required.

Knowledge and Expertise


The ideal candidate will have the ability to be proactive, work within a team and individually. Have good written and verbal communication skills and be able to build and maintain relationships with colleagues, external partners and insurers.


Previous experience within the Insurance industry would be a distinct advantage.


Additional Information

The working hours are full-time, 37.5 per week, 9am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday.
