We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will assist in various accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations. Duties

Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations. Manage accounts payable processes, including invoice processing and payment scheduling. Utilise accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or PeopleSoft for daily transactions and reporting. Support the senior accountants in financial audits and reconciliations. Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and assist in month-end closing activities. Participate in mentoring sessions to enhance professional development and skills within the finance team. Collaborate with team members to streamline processes and improve efficiency in financial operations.

Requirements

A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred. Familiarity with financial accounting principles and practices. Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or PeopleSoft is advantageous. Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated. Good communication skills to effectively liaise with colleagues and stakeholders. Previous experience or internships in financial services or accounting roles would be beneficial but not essential.
