- based at ST Helen's Bishop Auckland are currently recruiting an enthusiastic and hard working

Junior Accountant / Clerk,

to join their expanding team.

We're looking for a well organised, motivated, and detail-oriented individual

,

who is quick learner, meticulous, and has good attention for detail. The successful candidate will be expected to prioritise their workload and ensure timescales for the daily routines are maintained.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is

AAT qualified or currently studying towards their AAT qualification,

and looking to take the next step in their accounting career.

Key Responsibilities

Process invoices, reconcile statements accurately and on time. Maintain purchase and sales ledgers Reconcile bank statements and balance sheet accounts Provide ad hoc financial analysis and administrative support as required Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts Support monthly reconciliations and assist in audits. Collaborate with team members to improve financial processes. Provide assistance in budgeting and forecasting activities. Monitor financial transactions for accuracy and compliance. Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities.

About You

AAT qualified or part-qualified

(or equivalent qualification/experience) Experience in an accounting and clerical roles (ie. placement or internship experience) Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting software packages. Excellent communication and organisational skills. A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.

The position is offered is temporary to permanent basis, 12 weeks satisfactory work will result in a permanent contract.

EIPL operate an Annual Hours system with a schedule of 41hrs per week (Annual hours meaning - The weekly schedule may increase or decrease, however your monthly salary would not change)

Schedule Hours of Work - 41 hrs/week
Monday - Thursday - 8am - 5pm
Friday 8am - 3:30pm
