We are seeking a motivated Junior Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in managing financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. This role is perfect for someone looking to grow their career in a practice environment and gain hands-on experience with various accounting software.
Duties
Preparation of financial statements for Limited Companies, Partnerships and Sole Traders.
Preparation of basic tax computations for Corporation Tax and personal tax.
Preparation and submission of VAT Returns for clients across various sectors.
Assistance to the in house Bookkeeper with performing bank reconciliations for various clients.
Assistance with the preparation of CIS Returns on a monthly basis.
Liaise with clients on a regular basis to request information and provide basic support.
Liaise with HMRC as and when required on behalf of the client.
Qualifications & Experience
AAT Qualified or studying (Level 3 or above).
Basic understanding of double entry bookkeeping and financial statements.
Competent in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
Experience using Tax Calc is preferred but nor essential.
At least 1 years experience in a Practice environment.

This position provides the opportunity to progress into a Semi Senior/Senior Accountant role.
