Robert Half is delighted to be partnering with a large, reputable family-run accounting firm to recruit a Temporary Junior Accountant (ACCA Qualified). This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified or early-career accountant to join a supportive, people-focused business with the possibility of a permanent position for the right individual.

Key Responsibilities
As the Junior Accountant, you will support the finance team with a wide range of duties, including:
Preparation of statutory and management accounts
Posting general ledger entries, journals, and performing account reconciliations
Assisting with VAT returns and compliance tasks
Supporting senior accountants with audit preparation and documentation
Helping manage accounts payable and receivable processes
Ensuring accurate maintenance of financial records
Responding to client queries in a professional and timely manner
Contributing to month-end and year-end close activities
Identifying opportunities to streamline processes and improve accuracy
Skills & Experience Required
ACCA qualified (newly qualified or up to 2 years' experience)
Practice experience is beneficial but not essential
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks
Advanced MS Excel skills
Exceptional attention to detail and strong numerical ability
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines
Confident communicator with a professional, client-centric approach
Proactive, eager to learn, and keen to develop within a supportive team
