We are seeking to appoint a Junior Accounting Assistant to join the team. Based near Ripon, the company operates principally as an outsourced finance team, partnering with clients to deliver high standard financials to a large and growing number of small to medium international businesses based across the UK and Europe.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Accounting Assistant to join our friendly team. You will be delivering a first-rate service to the company and existing portfolio of clients. Working alongside a dedicated team, the ideal candidate will be eager to learn and be motivated by success.
You will be responsible for the following tasks, although the role will involve a diverse range of activities and projects:
Process supplier invoices and credit notes accurately, ensuring correct VAT treatment, matching to purchase orders and adherence to approval procedures.
Liaising with clients and suppliers to resolve account and invoice queries efficiently.
Supplier Statement reconciliations to identify discrepancies or missing invoices.
Processing of staff expenses and commissions.
Multi-currency bank reconciliations.
Credit card reconciliations.
Petty cash reconciliations.
Processing intercompany transactions.
Debt Chasing.
Ad hoc day to day finance related tasks, as required.
Do you have a good track record that can demonstrate the following?
Educated to A level or experience of working in finance preferred.
Self-motivated to deliver to the highest standard, detail conscious, deadline driven and demonstrating a proactive approach.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Previous experience using excel and/or Google docs.
Knowledge of Xero, SAGE and partnering applications advantageous.
