The Part 1 Architectural Assistant position provides an excellent opportunity to support the Campus Development team. Our multidisciplinary team includes architects, building surveyors, and project managers, allowing us to effectively coordinate skills, allocate resources, and collaborate efficiently.

About the role:

This is a full-time, fixed-term role for 12 months, designed to provide valuable experience for the post holder. You will gain exposure to all RIBA stages, with key responsibilities including:


Working alongside senior colleagues to deliver a variety of projects, including refurbishments, the installation of specialist research and teaching equipment, and planned maintenance of campus buildings. Providing technical support through drawings and renders. Assisting in project processes, including finance, risk management, and contractor coordination, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. Working within statutory regulations, including planning, CDM, and Building Regulations.
If you are a talented architecture student seeking hands-on experience within a wider project team, this is a fantastic opportunity to develop new skills in project management while applying the knowledge gained during your undergraduate studies. You should possess strong design, communication, and interpersonal skills, alongside the ability to manage your workload effectively. Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential, while skills in Revit and Photoshop would be advantageous.
