Job Description

Due to rapid growth Kennelbuild are seeking add another architectural technician to meet the growing business demands.

As a specialist construction and manufacturing business our own in house design team work closely with our engineering and R&D team to deliver proprietary cutting edge modular kennel buildings which are the market leading solution compliant with all UK/EU building regulations, DEFRA and Charity guidelines.

Our buildings form an integral part of the clients site comprising of a mix of kennels, grooming rooms, kitchens, administration area's, enrichment area's and training facilities.

Kennelbuild clients include Ministry of Defence, Police Forces,Local Authorities and County Councils, the RSPCA and high end luxury boarding kennels with each having their own levels of bespoke requirements.

Job Overview:



Working closely with our lead architectural technician and as part of the wider technical design team the role will involve internal and external client projects with no two projects being the same.

Due to the varied nature of the projects this creates an interesting, varied and innovative challenge for our design teams. This role will be supporting the commercial team in the feasibility and delivery of D&B projects working as both principal contractor and principle sub contractor.

Working closely with the front end sales team, PM's and manufacturing team the role will suit someone with strong knowledge of building and construction experience who is a critical thinker with an eye for commerciality.

Key Skills Required:



Minimum 5 years construction experience

Minimum 3 years experience of technical drawings within building and construction design

Through understanding of AutoCAD (min 3 years exp) to produce accurate and detailed working drawing packages.

Experience in surveying greenfield/brownfield sites and refurbishments

Knowledge of building regulations and running multiple projects simultaneously.

Excellent soft skills working with other trade disciplines, consultants and team members.

Duties:



- Utilise software AutoCAD to create detailed architectural drawings & estimates
- Assist in system design and graphic design elements for architectural projects
- Collaborate with architects and engineers to develop and refine building plans
- Contribute to the build process by providing technical support and expertise
- Ensure compliance with building regulations and standards in all designs

Pre Requisites:



-Minimum 3 years AutoCAD
- Strong background in graphic design and system design within the architectural field
- Previous experience working on architectural projects from concept to completion
- Excellent knowledge of building materials and construction techniques
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment to achieve project goals

- Knowledge of UK planning and Building regulations.

-Estimating knowledge.

-Valid UK Driving license
