Junior Service/Install Engineer required.

We are a Manchester-based audio installation company, with many other interests, looking for an enthusiastic and proactive junior engineer to join our team installing and servicing sound systems in some of Manchester's top independent venues.
If you have a sense of adventure and enjoy meeting people; love solving problems and have a technical/practical skill base, this may be the job for you. We're the people that the licensed trade and others come to, to make things sound good, take care of technical headaches and help turn ideas into reality.
Applicants need to live within easy reach of Manchester city centre, be over 21 and have experience working with tools. Please don't respond if you don't meet these criteria.

You need to -

have practical skills with hand and power tools be physically able to use ladders and carry heavy equipment
Experience in any of the following would be an advantage,

Audio systems DMX lighting systems Video distribution systems CD and digital jukeboxes Acoustics Electronics Bench repair of amplifiers, DJ kit, lighting effects or computers Making tea, as part of an egalitarian brewing up team
Your Key Responsibilities will be,

Installation & Setup: Perform the physical installation, termination, and testing of audio systems (e.g., speakers, microphones, amplifiers, control panels, audio DSPs) and associated AV equipment. Rack Building & Cabling: Execute professional rack building and cable management. Route cables round sites to position and within containment if required. Configuration & Commissioning: Configure and calibrate sound systems for optimal audio performance, including basic programming of control systems. Service & Maintenance: Conduct routine preventative maintenance and promptly respond to service calls to diagnose and resolve faults with AV equipment. Client Interaction: Liaise professionally with clients, contractors, and on-site teams to ensure a seamless provision and high customer satisfaction. Health & Safety: Adhere to all company and site-specific health and safety policies. Maintain procedures and report any potential failings.
Starting salary of 26,250-31,500, depending on skill & experience, based on a 37.5hr week.

Successful applicants would begin on a 6-month temporary contract, which may lead to a further temporary or permanent contract.

We work out of Ardwick-based workshops from 9.30am to 5.30pm, Mon-Fri.
