We are currently seeking a motivated Junior Buyer to join our dynamic team and grow alongside us. As a Junior Buyer, you will play a crucial role in supporting, maintaining, and growing our portfolio of products with our key suppliers.

Job description:

  • Manage and support relationship with individual suppliers
  • Liaise with suppliers either by telephone or face to face meetings
  • Negotiate and purchase products from approved suppliers, reviewing stock is within agreed criteria and competitive pricing.
  • Ensure all purchasing activity follows current procedures and criteria set
  • Actively source and research new products with suppliers
  • Complete new listings forms, scans, pricing etc.
  • Chase outstanding orders with suppliers, cancel back orders, system housekeeping
  • Liaise with depots to resolve stock queries in a timely manner
  • Manage missed sales and liaise with team
  • Update and maintain buying sheets and produce supporting reports
  • System housekeeping, discontinue products, general administrative duties
  • Co-ordinate product samples and complete associated new line forms
  • Liaise with central functions obtain and monitoring information
  • Raise MHRA recalls on the central database
  • Submit adverse events and record on the system
  • Support the Purchasing manager with day to day administrative tasks
  • Support site with contract labelling requirements
  • Support site QMS
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Skills in Excel (essential)
  • Degree level qualification in an appropriate discipline (desirable).
  • Proven experience in purchasing and supplier management (desirable)
  • Understanding of Community Pharmacy operations (desirable)
  • Excellent communication skills (essential)
  • Exceptional planning and organizational skills (essential)
  • Ability to work effectively within deadlines (essential)
  • Attention to detail (essential)
  • Self-motivated, energetic, and proactive (essential)
  • A team player (essential)
