Overview



We are looking for a Junior Buyer reporting to the Commercial Manager. You will assist the Senior Buyer in handling the day-to-day purchasing needs of the business and work closely with the Operations Manager to oversee other daily admin tasks. Ideally looking for someone who has experience in working with Xero, Stripe and has worked in procurement.

You will



Upload daily supplier invoices on to the Materials Market platform and follow up with general invoice discrepancies with procurement dept. Process returns and cancellations on Materials Market platform and liaise with customers when necessary Communicate with the Customer Service team to reach out to customers regarding necessary changes to orders Assess orders assigned to you and reaching out to On Platform suppliers to see if they would accept the order within our platform Send orders directly to On Platform suppliers to accept through our platform Determine when to engage Off Platform suppliers and reach out to them for quotations. Place orders and creating Purchase Orders for Off Platform suppliers.

Requirements:



Experience using Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office packages Experience of using Xero - minimum 1 year Experience of general invoicing practices, VAT etc Experiences working within a construction company preferred - not essential Ability to work as a part of a team Ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines Attention to detail and accuracy Attending to any correspondence and emails by customers, clients and contractors Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong business acumen Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment Right to work in the UK
