About Consilium Hortus

Consilium Hortus is an award-winning garden and outdoor living design studio working across the UK and internationally. We specialise in high-end residential projects that combine architectural design, luxury outdoor living, and expert planting.

We are growing and looking for a Junior CAD Technician to support the technical side of our design work. This is a great opportunity for someone starting out in their career who is eager to learn, develop, and work on exciting real-world projects.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with the production of detailed 2D plans and technical drawings using Vectorworks Help develop 3D models and visual presentation materials Support the setup of studio drawing files, styles, and templates Contribute to drawing packs for planning, concept, and construction stages Maintain a growing library of design details and CAD resources Work on planting plans, material quantity take-offs, and layout drawings Liaise with the team to ensure all design elements are accurate and buildable
You'll work directly alongside our studio's design director, gaining insight into the creative and technical delivery of award-winning outdoor spaces.

What We're Looking For

A qualification in Landscape Design, Architecture, Garden Design or a similar built environment subject Some experience using Vectorworks, AutoCAD, or similar CAD software A strong eye for detail and a passion for well-executed drawings Good organisational skills and a willingness to learn An interest in garden design, construction, or outdoor living Ability to work both independently and as part of a small studio team
