Position Overview

EMJ Plastics is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a CAD Technician. As a Junior CAD Technician you will work closely with our experienced design and engineering team to contribute to the creation of precision-engineered GRP products. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about CAD and eager to develop their skills in a dynamic and innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in CAD Design:

Work closely with the design team to create detailed and accurate CAD models of GRP products, ensuring alignment with project specifications.

Collaboration:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers and project managers, to understand design requirements and provide input throughout the design process.

Documentation:

Maintain accurate documentation of design changes, revisions, and project progress. Assist in creating and updating technical drawings and design documentation.

Learn and Apply Software Skills:

Develop proficiency in CAD software - AutoCAD and leverage these skills to contribute effectively to design projects.

Quality Assurance:

Assist in reviewing and validating CAD Drawings / models to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. Participate in design reviews and make recommendations for improvements.

Continuous Learning:

Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and advancements in CAD design. Actively seek opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications:

Education:

Currently pursuing or recently completed a relevant degree or certification in CAD, engineering, or a related field.

Technical Skills:

Basic understanding of CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.) and a strong willingness to learn and develop proficiency in these tools.

Attention to Detail:

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in creating CAD models and technical drawings.

Communication:

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to collaborate and convey ideas within a team environment.

Enthusiasm:

Passion for CAD design, plastic manufacturing, and a strong desire to contribute to innovative projects.

Initiative:

Proactive attitude, self-motivated, and eager to take on new challenges
