Salary:

26,000 to 35,000 depending on experience

Schedule:

40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Purpose:

The Junior Compliance Officer will support the Regulatory Manager alongside the Administrative Team in ensuring that The Somerset Toiletry Company's products comply with all applicable cosmetic, packaging and environmental regulations across UK, EU and International Markets.

This is an entry-level/graduate role ideal for a detail-oriented individual with a passion for regulatory affairs and product safety across cosmetics, personal care and the FMCGs industry.

Job Overview:

Ensure all products meet relevant local and international laws, standards, and industry regulations.

Manage data required for environmental regulations including packaging waste (EU, UK, US etc).

Supporting the review and approval of artwork, label INCI, marketing claims and packaging specifications to meet global compliance.

Assist with compiling and maintaining Product Information Files (PIFs) and Cosmetic Product Safety Reports (CPSRs).

Ensure correct product notifications on the UK SCPN/ EU CPNP and U.S FDA portals (MoCRA).

Supporting internal and external compliance audits.

Maintaining complete and organised documentation of testing, certifications, and audit records.

Liaising with internal teams, global manufacturing partners, external labs and Responsible Persons (RP) to align on regulatory requirements and decisions.

Prepare compliance documentation for export partners and customers.

Collaborating closely with the Regulatory Chemist, NPD, Marketing and Admin teams, following their frameworks and directives to ensure alignment across departments.

Qualifications & Skills

Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise changing workload

Excellent organisational skills

Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)

A background in Cosmetic Science, Chemistry or Pharmaceuticals would be advantageous but not required
