About the Post
We are looking to appoint an HR and Compliance Officer to join the operations team for our two schools, who will relish the opportunity to:
Work alongside the Finance & Estates Officer in overseeing all areas of non-academic functions of our schools. The two posts cover the entirety of our operations/school business functions and it is intended that this post will focus, in particular, on HR, risk, audit and compliance.
Manage recruitment, Single Central Records and all day-to-day transactional HR processes for our staff. This will include absence recording and monitoring, contract changes, leavers and answering queries related to HR/staffing.
Take the lead on compliance activity for the schools, including risk registers, business continuity plans, data protection, health and safety administration and preparing for audits.
Support the schools in making a significant positive difference to the lives of our pupils
Promote and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people in accordance with the school's Safeguarding and Child Protection policies.
You are likely to be someone who:
Has a successful track record of working in HR or recruitment in an administrative capacity.
Has GCSEs in Maths and English, grade 4/grade C and above or equivalent qualifications/grades.
Has excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
Is a self-starter with ability to prioritise own workload, meet deadlines and work at pace in a busy team environment.
Has strong organisational and administrative skills with high levels of competence in using general IT platforms and management information systems.
Has excellent interpersonal skills and gravitas to interact with colleagues across the Trust, and the wider community.
Is safer recruitment certified (or has the ability to achieve this upon appointment).
Is enthusiastic, efficient, flexible, reliable and shows attention to detail and is able to work using own initiative and also as part of a team.
