Wizard Zero is transforming how homes and businesses are powered and how customers think about energy. Our mission is to accelerate the transition to clean, affordable solar energy by delivering high-quality, cost-effective solar solutions tailored to individual needs.
As a fast-growing, customer-first organisation, we are committed to helping homeowners and businesses gain energy independence while reducing their environmental impact. We are building a team of ambitious, driven individuals who want to make a meaningful difference, one rooftop at a time.
Role Overview
We are looking for a creative, energetic, and "people-first" Junior Content Creator to join our team. This 25-hour-per-week role is designed for a driven individual. Your mission is to capture the heart of our business. You won't be stuck behind a desk; instead, you'll be out in the field capturing the transition to green energy through high-quality videography and photography.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Testimonials: Visit residential and commercial sites to interview customers. You'll be responsible for making them feel comfortable on camera to capture authentic, high-quality testimonials.
On-Site Production: Travel to solar installations to capture "behind the scenes" footage of our team at work and the finished technology.
Editing & Post-Production: Turn raw interviews and site footage into engaging short-form videos/reels, case study videos, and high-end photo galleries.
Diary Management: You will be responsible for proactively managing your shooting schedule, coordinating with customers and the installation team to ensure all projects are captured on time.
Collaboration: Work closely with the Marketing Manager to plan shoot days and ensure the visual style aligns with the Wizard Zero brand.
About You (Requirements)
Experience Level: Open to Students, Graduates, or Apprentices in Film, Photography, or Creative Media.
The "People" Factor: You are outgoing, friendly, and excellent at building quick rapport with strangers. You know how to coach a nervous customer to look great on camera.
Hardware: Must have your own professional hardware, including a mirrorless/DSLR camera (video capable), a modern smartphone for social content, and external audio equipment.
Technical Skills: Proficient with cameras, external microphones, and basic lighting. Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve, or similar.
Organisation & Diary Management: Excellent diary management is a must. You need to be highly organised to juggle site visits, travel, and editing deadlines.
Transport: Must have a valid driving licence and access to a vehicle to travel to various project sites.
Why This Role is Perfect for You
Real-World Experience: Lead the visual storytelling for a company in the solar industry--one of the fastest-growing sectors in the world.
Creative Freedom: You aren't just an assistant; you are the primary creator of our visual assets.
Mentorship: Get direct feedback and guidance from our Marketing Manager to help bridge the gap between "college projects" and "commercial success."
