Job description
We're looking for two motivated Junior Data Analysts to join our team on a part-time basis for a 6-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their data career who wants hands-on experience in data analysis, MI reporting, and exposure to data engineering and data science concepts.
You'll work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, so we're looking for quick learners who are resourceful, analytical, and proactive in solving problems. In return, you'll gain meaningful experience and mentorship in real-world data workflows.
Key Responsibilities
Support data preparation and analysis for regular MI (Management Information) reporting.
Maintain existing Excel-based reports with complex calculations.
Assist in developing and modifying Power BI dashboards and reports.
Collaborate with multiple business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver data solutions.
Contribute to data workflows involving Python scripts.
Maintain clear and detailed documentation of data processes and reports.
Identify data issues and inconsistencies and propose solutions.
Skills and Experience
Must-Have:
Proficiency in Advanced Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and complex data structures.
Experience with Power BI and Power Query for data visualization and reporting.
Ability to read, understand, and write Python code.
Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
Excellent documentation skills (ability to write clear, step-by-step instructions).
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks under pressure.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders.
Good to Have:
Experience in the insurance or financial services industry
Prior experience with generating large reports involving complex business logic
Understanding of data confidentiality and sensitivity
