We are a specialist data consultancy and trusted Databricks Partner, helping organisations modernise their data platforms, optimise costs, and unlock real-time insights. We work across a variety of industries - from retail to financial services - enabling our clients to get the most value from their Lakehouse architecture.

We're looking for a

Data Engineer

with hands-on experience in modern data engineering practices - particularly within

Databricks

- to design, build, and optimise robust data pipelines. You'll work with clients to migrate legacy workloads, streamline data delivery, and implement scalable, cloud-native solutions.

Key Responsibilities



Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines using

Databricks (PySpark, Delta Live Tables, Auto Loader, Unity Catalog)

Support

data migrations

from legacy platforms (e.g., SSIS, SQL Server, Oracle) to

Databricks

Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to define requirements and deliver high-quality datasets Apply

best practices

around CI/CD (e.g., Databricks Asset Bundles), code modularity, and cost optimisation Perform

data modelling and transformation

using Lakehouse principles (Bronze, Silver, Gold) Implement data quality frameworks, governance, and security policies Optimise workloads for performance and cost across

Azure Databricks / AWS Databricks

environments Develop reusable frameworks and documentation to standardise delivery across clients

Required Skills & Experience



Proven experience building data pipelines with

Databricks

,

Spark

, or

PySpark

Proficiency in

SQL

and

Python

for data transformation and orchestration Strong understanding of

ETL/ELT frameworks

,

data warehousing

, and

Lakehouse architectures

Experience with

Azure Data Factory

,

Delta Lake

, or similar orchestration tools Solid grasp of

CI/CD practices

and version control (e.g., Git, DevOps, Databricks Repos) Understanding of

data governance, security, and Unity Catalog

concepts Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast-paced client environments

Experience with

Databricks Asset Bundles

Genie

Familiarity with

cloud services

(Azure or AWS data ecosystem) Previous consultancy or client-facing experience Exposure to BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, or Looker)

Job Types: Full-time, Graduate, Internship
Contract length: 24 months

Pay: 22,000.00-25,000.00 per year
