Who We Are

The Insurance Emporium protects many of the passions that make our lives so rich. Whether it's your pets, horses, caravans or more, our insurance products are designed to work for you as an individual.

An exciting opportunity is available to join our Data Integration and Analysis team as a Junior Data Quality Assurance Analyst. Reporting to the Data Integration and Analysis Team Lead, you will play a key role in supporting both the Data integration and Data Analysis teams, as well as the wider business, to ensure data is accurate, consistent and reliable. You will perform Quality Assurance (QA) on data pipelines, analyses, and reports, identifying and resolving any data quality or integrity issues.

This is an exciting time to join the team, as we develop our digital data portfolio, where the role is far-reaching and has endless opportunities to develop and progress your career.

Who we are looking for

You will be highly motivated, inquisitive, and logical in your approach, with a keen eye for detail. You will communicate effectively, work collaboratively, and proactively identify data issues or opportunities for improvement. This role is ideal for someone looking to develop a career in data quality, data integrity and wider data governance.

You will possess;

Awareness of BI tools, ideally Qlik Sense SaaS, with the ability to work across dashboards, reports, and underlying data models (training will be provided if required). Exposure to SQL for querying and validating data (beneficial but not essential). Competence in using Excel or similar tools for ad hoc data validation and transformation (supporting skill, not a primary focus). Experience of working with data and identifying trends, anomalies, or quality issues. Practical experience of working with large and complex datasets. An analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and consistency. Ability to perform data validation and quality checks, reconciling data across different sources. Interest in data governance, standards, and best practices, with a willingness to learn about data lineage and metadata. Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage time effectively. Strong problem-solving skills, able to identify root causes and propose solutions. Clear written and verbal communication skills, able to present findings simply and effectively. Ability to work independently as well as part of a cross-functional team. Experience of working to deadlines and meeting targets in a commercial or operational environment. Curiosity and adaptability, with a desire to grow technical skills and contribute to building QA frameworks over time.

What the role entails

The Junior Data Quality Analyst role will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data across the business. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to;

Support the Data Integration and Analysis Team Lead in planning and delivering objectives. Assist in performing quality assurance checks on data pipelines, dashboards, reports, and analyses to identify and resolve data quality or integrity issues. Collaborate with the Data Analysis team to understand front-end processes and support validation of modelled data. Contribute to the development and maintenance of QA frameworks, validation scripts, and monitoring procedures. Perform data validation, reconciliation, and error analysis across multiple sources. Support design, testing, and refinement of Qlik Sense SaaS dashboards and reports, ensuring underlying data is accurate and reliable. Participate in workshops, demos, and adoption of new front-end or pipeline functionality. Gather and translate business requirements into actionable insights, highlighting potential data quality or integrity risks. Propose solutions and process improvements to enhance data reliability and team efficiency. Undertake continuous learning opportunities to grow technical and professional skills, progressing toward a broader DQA and governance role.

Please note, the successful candidate will be required to undergo a Basic DBS check
