As a Junior Design Engineer at Relinea, you will have the opportunity to learn and grow within our engineering team, assisting in the creation of detailed technical drawings and plans for GRP products and projects. Under the guidance of senior draughtsmen and engineers, you will contribute to the design process, gain valuable experience in CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software, and play a vital role in bringing concepts to life.

Responsibilities:

Assist in the development of 2D and 3D drawings, schematics, and blueprints using CAD software, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and adherence to project requirements and industry standards. Collaborate closely with senior designers, engineers, and other team members to understand design objectives, specifications, and constraints, and contribute ideas and solutions to design challenges. Support the review and revision process for drawings, incorporating feedback and making necessary adjustments to optimise designs for manufacturability, functionality, and quality. Generate and maintain technical documentation, including production drawings, bills of materials, and design specifications, to facilitate communication and coordination among project stakeholders. Participate in design meetings, workshops, and training sessions to enhance your technical skills, expand your knowledge of GRP materials and processes, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field (or currently pursuing degree/diploma). Basic understanding of CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar tools, with a willingness to learn and develop proficiency in draughting techniques and engineering design principles. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and communicate ideas effectively. Enthusiasm for learning and a proactive attitude towards professional development, with a desire to grow your skills and knowledge within the field of engineering design. Team player with good interpersonal skills, able to collaborate effectively with colleagues and contribute positively to team dynamics.
