We are currently looking for a Junior Designer to join our team. Based at our workshop in Staffordshire, you'll be part of a collaborative, highly skilled environment where every project is crafted with care, precision, and creativity.
This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to gain hands on experience within a reputable company known for delivering high quality bespoke furniture and interiors.
The Role
As a Junior Designer, you'll support the senior design team in developing and producing detailed technical drawings for bespoke furniture and joinery pieces. Working closely with the lead designer, operations manager, and workshop team, you'll gain valuable exposure to the full project lifecycle - from concept through to manufacture and installation.
Key Responsibilities
Produce accurate 2D technical drawings and 3D models using SolidWorks.
Assist in developing design concepts and visualisations for bespoke cabinetry and furniture projects.
Liaise with the senior designer and production teams to ensure drawings are practical for manufacture.
Programming and running CNC machinery.
Prepare supporting documentation such as material schedules and cutting lists.
Ensure all work meets company standards and design specifications.
Participate in design meetings and contribute creative ideas.
Requirements
BA (Hons) in Furniture Design, Product Design or a related discipline.
Experience with SolidWorks (experience with PDM and/or SWOOD is advantageous).
A strong eye for details and an understanding of materials, manufacturing, and assembly methods.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Enthusiasm to learn and develop within a fast paced, creative environment.
