Role Summary



We are seeking a motivated

Junior Designer - Solar PV

to join our growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop strong technical expertise in

solar PV design

,

ASHP systems

,

EV chargers

, and

electrical systems

. The role offers hands-on experience with software tools such as

AutoCAD

and

PV Sol

, while also building knowledge of

MCS (Microgeneration Certification Scheme)

requirements,

BS 7671 Wiring Regulations

, and key project management principles.

Key Responsibilities



Collaborate with the estimation team to produce accurate project costings. Design roof layouts, electrical schematics, and system configurations in compliance with

BS 7671

and

MCS

standards. Use

AutoCAD

to prepare detailed drawings and system layouts. Conduct shading analyses and perform voltage drop calculations. Provide technical support to on-site installation teams. Work closely with operations to deliver

Bills of Materials (BOMs)

and ensure compliance with internal processes. Maintain and update all relevant technical documentation.

Essential Skills



Knowledge of

solar PV systems

(strong advantage). Proficiency in

AutoCAD 2D

and

Microsoft Office

, particularly Excel. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. High attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Desirable Skills



Experience with

PV Sol

or

SketchUp

. Basic knowledge of

ASHP systems

.
