We are a long established full service Creative Marketing agency and are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Junior Web Developer to support our Head Developer and our expanding portfolio of client websites.

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Junior Developer to join our growing development team. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals with foundational coding knowledge eager to kickstart their career in Web development. The Junior Developer will work closely with senior developers and other team members to assist in the design, development, testing, and deployment of software solutions. This role offers an excellent opportunity to learn new technologies, refine coding skills, and contribute to impactful projects.

You will be based at our offices in Kidderminster, so will need to be able to commute or relocate.

Responsibilities

Performing simple page edits and blog post updates. Updating WordPress versions, themes, and plugins. Assisting in building new landing pages and full websites. Conducting regular site checks to identify and fix layout or functionality issues. Collaborate with senior developers and team leads to understand project requirements and specifications. Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code in accordance with established coding standards. Assist in the testing and debugging of software applications to ensure optimal performance and functionality. Participate in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback. Support the integration of APIs and third-party services Contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of existing software systems. Learn and apply new programming languages, frameworks, and tools as required by projects. Document technical specifications, processes, and procedures. Engage in continuous learning to keep up with industry trends and technologies. Actively participate in team meetings and contribute to problem-solving discussions.

Essential Key Skills & Experience

Minimum of one year in a similar position or can provide a portfolio of work. WordPress - Specifically with bespoke theme building Strong knowledge of HTML & CSS. Good knowledge and understanding of PHP. Attention to detail and ability to follow visual and technical briefs. Strong problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies.

Desirable (but Not Essential)

Basic understanding of JavaScript or JQuery Experience with Photoshop or Illustrator for light image editing. WooCommerce experience Familiarity with Oxygen Builder.

Strong communicator, able to collaborate effectively within a team. We're looking for someone who takes the initiative and proactively identifies what needs to be done. Available to work in the office based in Kidderminster DY11 7PG.
