Sleaford Building Services Limited (SBS) is an MEP design and build contractor specialising in quality installations throughout the UK. Based in Lincolnshire, SBS is a growing family-owned business with in-house expertise in commercial, industrial, retail, and residential sectors. SBS operates its own fabrication facility for off-site modular construction and has a dedicated ventilation department and process engineering specialists. Our qualified design team delivers BIM Level 2 standards, provides thermal modelling advice, and offers strategies for Low and Zero carbon technologies. SBS handles projects ranging from minor maintenance to multi-million-pound MEP installations requiring high technical knowledge and coordination.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Junior Electrical Design/Estimator. You will work within a variety of sectors which include commercial, leisure, education and the public sector. Your role will require you to create estimates/tenders from mechanical services design drawings (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning).

Ideally you will be able to work on both design and build and pre designed projects. You will work closely with suppliers/wholesalers to obtain the best prices possible. You will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of prestigious and high value projects. All software training will be provided in house / externally if required to help your progression into the field of building services estimating.

Position Overview

Assist with cost planning, tendering, and procurement Support the commercial team in managing subcontractor packages and valuations Assist in monitor project costs, variations, and reporting Gain exposure to a wide range of project types and values

Position Requirements

Degree-qualified or working towards a qualification in Building Services Experience in main contracting (ideal but not essential for junior roles) Strong attention to detail and communication skills Eager to learn and progress within a growing business Full clean Driving Licence
