Junior Electrical Estimator

Imperial Engineering Contractors are a well-established electrical contractor working across the commercial, industrial and fit-out sectors. We deliver projects nationwide for blue-chip clients, developers, and leading main contractors, providing expertise in LV distribution, lighting, fire alarms, data, and mechanical power supplies.

As part of our continued growth, we are looking for a

Junior Electrical Estimator

to join our estimating team and develop a career within the commercial side of electrical contracting.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Senior Estimator and Directors, the successful candidate will assist with:

Preparing and issuing electrical tender packages. Producing take-offs and quantities from drawings and specifications. Reviewing and analysing supplier/subcontractor quotations. Compiling competitive and compliant tender submissions. Preparing cost breakdowns and analysis for management review. Building and maintaining strong working relationships with our supply chain. Supporting handover of successful tenders to the project delivery team.

The Candidate

We are open to two possible candidate routes:

Craft/Trade Route

- A qualified electrician (Level 3 NVQ/AM2 or equivalent) with site experience who is now looking to move into estimating and commercial management.

Technical Route

- A candidate with an HNC (or higher) in Building Services / Electrical Engineering, with an interest in developing a career in estimating.

Essential Requirements:

Good understanding of electrical installations in commercial or industrial environments. Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail. Excellent IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Excel. Enthusiastic, proactive, and keen to learn with support from experienced estimators.
