Job Overview

We are seeking an electrical Estimator/junior Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out takes off using count fire software , draft a detailed tender BOQ , source quotes as required to price the project and issue to company director for final review.

The role will lead into a cradle to grave pre construction role , carrying out the required hand overs on secured works from pre-con to construction teams .

Duties

Analyse project plans, specifications, and drawings to determine scope of work and required resources Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labour, equipment, and subcontractor services Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing and lead times Assist in bid preparation and submission processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with client requirements Conduct cost control analysis throughout project lifecycle to identify potential savings or overruns Maintain organised records of all estimates, quotations, and related documentation for future reference Support the procurement team by providing accurate cost data to aid in negotiations Costing of site variations as required

Skills

Electrical experience in estimating or good understanding of the electrical trade and what is required to carry out works . Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Understands excel Effective communication skills to liaise with suppliers, clients, and internal teams Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 40,000.00-50,000.00 per year
