Position Summary
Guggenheim Investments is seeking a confident, capable, and proactive Junior ESG Officer with a minimum of 3 years' experience in ESG, sustainability reporting, or responsible investment--ideally gained within a global asset management or financial services environment. This role offers exposure to a wide range of regulatory frameworks, investor expectations, and cross-border ESG developments.



The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting our sustainability and ESG initiatives and reporting activities, particularly across the UK, EU, and US jurisdictions preparing RFP responses, investor presentations and letters, PRI and other framework reporting, and internal/external ESG communications. A clear, concise communicator--both written and verbal--you must be comfortable researching, analyzing and distilling technical topics into crisp narratives and presenting ESG insights with clarity and purpose.
Responsibilities
Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the development and implementation of ESG policies and procedures Help prepare ESG reports for clients, regulators, and stakeholders Monitor ESG regulatory developments, trends and industry best practices and assist with data collection and analysis to meet requirements under CSRD, TCFD, and other relevant frameworks (e.g., SFDR, SEC proposals). Lead completion of PRI and other ESG-related reporting frameworks Liaise with Investment, Legal, Compliance, Operations, and Communications / Marketing teams to ensure consistency and accuracy in ESG messaging. Support the Corporate Credit investment team's ESG-related engagement with issuers Coordinate with investment teams to integrate ESG considerations into investment processes Draft/review responses to ESG-related DDQ/RFP questions and client information requests Translate technical ESG content into clear, concise narratives tailored for non-specialist audiences. Prepare and deliver presentations on ESG, metrics, and updates as a subject-matter contributor. Prepare and update firm's annual ESG training.

Qualifications
Qualification and SkillsCurrent ESG or Sustainability-related role at an asset manager or financial institution 3-5 years of experience in sustainability, ESG or related fields Familiarity with ESG, CSRD, EU Taxonomy, TCFD, SFDR, and US ESG trends and reporting requirements and ESG data and reporting platforms (e.g., Workiva, Refinitiv, MSCI, FinDox); Knowledge of one or more ESG reporting frameworks (e.g. PRI, GRI, SASB, TCFD, ISSB, and ESRS) and data vendors Strong analytical and research skills Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, including ability to write clearly and persuasively, highlight key points efficiently, and present with confidence to clients, senior leadership, etc. Project management skills, attention to detail and ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects efficiently Proficiency with data analysis tools and Microsoft Office suite

Preferred SkillsUnderstanding of financial markets and investment processes and fixed income asset classes Knowledge of climate risk assessment methodologies Bachelor's degree in sustainability, environmental science, law, business, finance, or related field
