The Role
We are seeking a
Junior Event Associate
to join our team. This is a hands-on role, designed for someone looking to start or grow their career in events. You will provide cross-team support across the full event cycle -- from planning through to delivery and evaluation -- gaining invaluable exposure to high-profile international conferences.
The role offers a structured entry point into the events sector, with opportunities to develop quickly within a supportive and collaborative environment.
Salary: 24,000, company pension
Key Responsibilities
As a Junior Event Associate, you will:
Marketing & Communications
Contribute to the preparation of event webpages, invitations, and collateral.
Assist with email campaigns, social media posts, and delegate outreach.
Event Logistics & Operations
Assist where required with event planning, scheduling, and preparation of operational documents.
Help coordinate suppliers, venues, catering, and AV providers.
Provide on-the-day support when required at events, ensuring smooth delivery.
Delegate & Speaker Support
Assist with guest list management, RSVP tracking, and registration.
Support communications with speakers, delegates, and partners.
Maintain accurate records across event databases.
Team & Project Support
Take notes during internal planning meetings.
Prepare briefing packs and team schedules for event delivery.
Support post-event evaluation and reporting.
What We're Looking For
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively and proactively within a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
Willingness and ability to travel internationally.
Eligibility to live and work in the UK.
Desirable:
Some prior experience in events, hospitality, administration, or project coordination.
Interest in policy, politics, or international affairs.
Working Hours & Location
Standard hours: 9:00 - 5:30, Monday to Friday.
Hybrid model: 2 days in the Cardiff office, remainder WFH or office-based.
International travel is likely and forms part of the role.
