The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to support our Bristol office with its operational needs.
In this role we will teach you everything you need to know processing road, air and sea shipments for our customers and completing bookings with shipping lines, agents and hauliers.
Key Responsibilities:
Completing and processing road, air and sea shipments for our customers completing bookings with shipping lines, agents and haulier's.
Deliver outstanding service to our customers by tracking and communicating all updates to customers, making sure their shipments arrive on time and informing them of any delays.
Assisting with and completing all aspects of customs clearance processes on all import and export jobs as well as allocating suppliers' invoices and sales invoicing.
Provide efficient support with day-to-day administrative tasks to ensure smooth business operations.
Provide support to the rest of the operations team and other colleagues across the business where they need assistance
Answer the phone in a professional manor and provide outstanding customer service to all customer and supplier needs

What you'll bring:
Experience of working within a logistics company (warehousing or freight forwarding), or, experience of working in an out of industry office-based role is desirable.
Extremely organised with a high attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work well under pressure and able to work to tight deadlines
High IT literacy skills and strong competency with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
Experience in working with CRM systems or similar would be desirable
Outstanding customer service skills
The ability to develop and build strong relationships over the phone and email
The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be a strong team player
Accountability to yourself and others
