STEM PR agency Stone Junction is looking for a junior graphic designer to join its creative team. As part of this role, you would be expected to work in-person from the office in Stafford.

Salary range for this position: Starting at 25,000, advancing to 28,000 in line with progression.

a range of digital and print-based assets

for both client and internal use. You'll form a part of our creative team, and will

work across the agency and its client base

to offer consultation and delivery of design work.

Job description:

Our junior designer will:

Work alongside the PR team

to generate ideas that enhance marketing campaigns, under the guidance of our lead designer Produce

print-based literature

such as flyers, leaflets, adverts and brochures Produce

digital assets

for clients such as website design, social graphics, presentation decks and email newsletters Liaise with clients to

present new ideas and provide consultation

on creative projects

Support Stone Junction's marketing manager

to develop assets for the agency's own branding and communications campaigns

Skills required:

Our junior designer needs to have:

A killer portfolio A degree in graphic design, visual communication or another related course Keen eye for detail Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise own workload and keep to deadlines Effective communication skills both verbally, written and in a presentation context Ability to generate, understand and explain creative ideas in response to briefs Understanding of the key design, layout and typographic principles Working knowledge of the Adobe creative suite (Illustrator, Indesign, Photoshop) and Figma Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite Interest in design trends and the wider industry with a want to develop, learn and grow their skill set A collaborative, can-do mindset, the ability to be flexible and support across the team An interest in the engineering, science and technology sectors Ability to reliably commute to Stafford, UK

Skills desired:

A massive bonus would be if you have experience in any of the following:

Experience and skills in standard CMSs, such as Wordpress Proficiency in HTML and basic coding languages (Javascript, Ruby, Python, etc.) An understanding of PR and marketing principles Photography skills Familiarity with Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro and a working understanding of designing for motion

What's the process?



After reviewing applications, our first step is a 20-minute screening via Teams, offering us the chance to get to know you a little, and for you to ask any questions about the role If successful, candidates will be given a design brief - this is a chance to flex your skills, and demonstrate how you turn client briefs into impactful assets Finally, after review and feedback, our third step is a formal interview at our Stafford office. Interviewees will meet multiple team members, including our lead designer, an account director and the managing director.
