About the role
We are looking for a Junior Interior Designer to join our growing commercial interiors studio. This is an opportunity for someone early in their career to gain hands-on experience across workplace design, space planning and commercial fit-out projects, working closely with our design team and external partners.
The role would suit a motivated individual with a strong interest in workplace and commercial interiors, who is keen to develop their technical and creative skills within a supportive, design-led environment.
Key responsibilities
Assisting with space planning and layout development for commercial interiors
Producing 2D drawings and basic 3D visuals to support design proposals
Supporting the preparation of mood boards, material palettes and presentations
Assisting with furniture, finishes and lighting research and specifications
Updating drawings and models following client and internal feedback
Helping prepare technical drawing packages for tender and construction
Liaising with suppliers, contractors and consultants where required
Supporting site visits, surveys and project documentation
Assisting with image preparation for marketing and project case studies
Skills and experience
Degree or equivalent qualification in Interior Design or Interior Architecture
0-2 years' experience in a commercial interiors or design studio environment
Strong interest in workplace, office or commercial design
Working knowledge of CAD software (Vectorworks preferred; AutoCAD considered)
Basic 3D modelling and visualisation experience
Confident with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
Good attention to detail and organisational skills
Clear communication skills and a willingness to learn
Ability to manage time effectively and work on multiple tasks
Full UK Driving licence with access to a vehicle
