About Us

DROIX is a fast-growing eCommerce leader specializing in Mini PCs, handheld gaming devices, and cutting-edge tech accessories. With over

13 years

of industry experience, we pride ourselves on delivering high-performance hardware backed by world-class support. As we continue to expand, we are looking for a highly motivated

Junior IT Engineer

to join our London-based technical team.

Role Overview

This is a hands-on technical role designed for someone who is ready to roll up their sleeves and grow alongside the company. You will be responsible for the "heart" of our post-sales service: handling hardware upgrades, complex troubleshooting, and device repairs. We aren't just looking for someone with a certificate; we are looking for a

determined problem-solver

who wants to master the world of specialized gaming hardware.

Key Responsibilities

Hardware Maintenance:

Perform upgrades (RAM/SSD) and minor hardware repairs on specialized devices like the GPD Win series and GPD Win Max 2.

Diagnostics & Testing:

Troubleshoot and stress-test Mini PCs, Ultrabooks, and gaming handhelds to identify hardware vs. software failures.

Software Provisioning:

Reinstall Windows/Android OS, manage driver installations, and perform factory resets on devices such as the AYANEO Pocket DMG and AYN Odin series.

RMA Management:

Efficiently process customer returns, documenting faults and resolutions within our internal systems.

Technical Support:

Provide clear, professional guidance to customers via our ticketing system to resolve technical queries remotely.

Continuous Learning:

Stay up-to-date with new product releases and internal repair protocols to improve support efficiency.

What We're Looking For

Determination & Grit:

We need someone who doesn't give up on a difficult repair. You should be someone who enjoys the challenge of finding a solution when things don't work the first time.

Growth Mindset:

A strong desire to learn and advance within the tech industry. We value dedication and a "can-do" attitude above all else.

The "Tech Hobbyist" Foundation:

Genuine passion for PC hardware, handheld gaming, or small-form-factor electronics.

OS Proficiency:

Solid understanding of Windows and Android environments (installation, BIOS settings, and driver management).

Hands-on Skill:

Experience using basic tools to open and service small electronics (phones, laptops, or tablets).

Communication:

Excellent written skills to explain technical issues to customers in a helpful, friendly manner.

What We Offer

Growth Opportunities:

We are looking for someone to grow with us. You will receive hands-on training and the chance to build a career in a niche, high-growth tech sector.

20 days paid holiday (plus bank holidays), paid sick days, and a Pension Plan.

Health & Wellbeing:

Private Health Insurance plan included.

Culture:

A young, dynamic, and friendly team environment where hard work and determination are recognized and rewarded.
