Job Summary:
Exciting opportunity to join our growing security team to develop your skills in IT Cyber Security using some of the latest threat detection applications. This is an entry level role where you will be working with experienced security analysts and engineers. With mentoring and professional training you will advance your knowledge in end point security, learn techniques in how to detect, hunt and contain security events.
In the role of Junior IT Security Analyst, you will be working in the IT Security team using a Security Incident and Event Management (SIEM) solution to analyze logs related to cyber security incidents across our global footprint in the US, UK, Europe and Asia. This will include triaging and classifying incident events and supporting other analysts and engineers with live investigations and forensic analysis.
You will be required to contribute to the development and enforcement of IT security policies in accordance with our IT Security Compliance Team and assist with providing evidence supporting these policies' effectiveness. Perform active monitoring, suggesting improvements and be reactive to security incidents.
As a Junior IT Security Analyst, you will be expected to develop your knowledge with a primary focus on Microsoft 365 Endpoint protection, attending training and obtaining foundation certifications to help you with day-to-day tasks.
This role is required to be on a hybrid schedule out of our UK offices.
Responsibilities:

  • Keeping up to date with the latest security threats, assessing impact, and suggesting solutions to address the emerging risks
  • Triage security incidents and events registered Microsoft Sentinel
  • Follow Security Process to conduct initial investigations with users to gather information about timeline, events and build out security incident case for review and next steps
  • Provide Incident Response support when analysis confirms actionable incident
  • Develop knowledge in security and cyber threats impacting businesses today
  • Support with end user training on security events and education
  • Provide threat and vulnerability analysis as well as security advisory services
  • Recommend changes to enhance systems security and prevent unauthorized access to client systems.
  • Participate in compliance/vulnerability assessment scanning, and assist with developing mitigation and remediation plans from the assessment findings
  • Provide input, as requested, for Security, Risk, Compliance and Service reporting
Education:
  • Associate degree in IT-related program preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Experience and Training:
  • Minimum 1 year working in IT with Microsoft Office365 / Azure products
  • Experience working in Office365 portals with focus on Endpoint security
  • Understanding of Kusto Query Language (KQL)
Desirable Training:
Microsoft AZ-500, Microsoft SC-200, CompTIA Security+
Technical Knowledge:
  • Understanding of Security Threats, Security Vulnerabilities, Security Risk and how they impact businesses.
  • Demonstrate understanding of information security concepts, standards, practices, device monitoring, log management and event monitoring/reporting.
  • Strong organizational skills

  • Excellent communication skills and experience working in a collaborative environment.
