About the role:
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong IT and Admin skills and be proficient in various office software applications. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of our office, providing IT and Admin support to the team and developing and maintaining efficient processes. Great learning opportunity!
Support the EJS team with various IT tasks as required to enhance productivity
Providing technical assistance to end users via troubleshooting and resolving issues related to laptops, phones, printers, and office hardware/software.
Managing user permissions, SharePoint structures, and IT equipment provisioning. (1st and 2nd Line IT support)
Supporting data protection protocols, including MFA, VPN, and ISO 27001-aligned practices
Assisting in IT projects
Creating and assisting in document creation (knowledge base articles for IT team and end users)
Assisting senior IT Engineers with security, infrastructure and data analytics
Ability to learn process such as downloading, analysing and extracting data form aircraft PDF document records.
Assist in running crystal reports / generating SQL script to import data into Quantum (Aviation ERP).
Assist running SQL's in Quantum to update and fix incorrect data.
About you:
Proven experience in an IT support role or similar position.
Eager to learn advanced IT technologies
M365 basics and Active Directory basics to create users and assign security groups, licenses etc.
Must know basics around print servers (highly beneficial if you know how to deploy printers via GPO or Intune)
Must know how to build laptops via MDT or Autopilot
Must be able to troubleshoot low level IT issues to a good standard and is happy to ask for help and escalate if needed
Must know the basics of networking and understand the basic principles
Must know basic Hyper-V VM management
Must have worked in a ITIL controlled environment
Must understand basic CMD and PowerShell commands / scripts
Must have worked on and configured network equipment to a basic level
Must know windows DFS and security permissions and Share Permissions
Must understand SharePoint permissions and folder structure
Experience in setting up users in an ERP / setting up user profiles in Quantum (Aviation ERP).
Ability to follow guides provided by senior technicians
Excellent attention to detail and methodical thinking
