Holland & Sherry Ltd is a luxury cloth merchant, operating in over 70 international markets, with a head office and warehouse function based in Peebles, Scottish Borders. The Company is currently looking to fill the following full-time position in our IT Department, based in our Warehouse in Peebles.

Junior IT Systems Administrator

Role Overview

As a Junior IT Systems Administrator, you'll play a key role in supporting day-to-day IT operations, maintaining systems, and assisting users across the organization. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow your skills in a supportive, tech-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

Provide first-line support for hardware, software, and network issues. Assist in the maintenance and monitoring of servers, backups, and security systems. Set up and configure new user accounts, devices, and access permissions. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner. Document IT procedures and maintain accurate records. Support IT projects such as system upgrades, migrations, and deployments.

What We're Looking For

A reasonable understanding of Windows and Android operating systems. Familiarity with networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP). Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Active Directory, or similar platforms would be advantageous. Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn. Good communication and teamwork abilities. Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+) or a willingness to obtain them are a plus.
